How Much I Earn As a Small YouTuber with 7,231 Subscribers

Why your subscriber count may not matter as much as you think when it comes to YouTube monetization.

We’ve all heard stories about seemingly normal people who started a YouTube channel and now have hundreds of thousands of followers, millions of views on their videos, and unbelievable paychecks to match.

However, we usually don’t hear about these people until they have achieved massive success, which can be years, if not decades, in the making.

We rarely hear stories about creators who are in the beginning stages of growing their audience on YouTube. I think that’s unfortunate.

One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced while starting my own YouTube channel has been the dreaded comparison game.

I often see other creators in my niche who have a massive subscriber count. I tend to feel insignificant in comparison, even though I’m actually earning a respectable amount each month from my small YouTube channel.

So, I thought I’d share some insights that you may find interesting if you are a small YouTuber like myself or thinking about starting a YouTube channel this year.

When I’m writing this article (October 26, 2020), I have 7,231 subscribers on my YouTube channel.

Currently, I only have five videos on my channel, and I haven’t posted any new content in over a year. But I want to focus on growing my channel in 2021, which is why I’m documenting this now at the end of 2020.
I’ve earned around $500 a month consistently without uploading any new content for the past six months.

I’ve made $4,418.40 and gained 5,000 subscribers since the beginning of 2020. However, as you can see from the income earned each month in the image above, gaining additional subscribers did not impact my revenue.

Why Didn’t My Income Increase with More Subscribers?

On YouTube, the number of views that your videos get matters a lot more than your subscriber count when it comes to monetization.

Subscribers can be helpful, but they’re not “the end all be all,” so to speak.

For example, when you upload a new video, the more subscribers you have, the more views you will get shortly after uploading. In theory, this also helps the YouTube algorithm decide if your video is worthy of being promoted or not.

However, some channels have millions of subscribers but have a relatively low view count per video.
In this case, a channel within the same niche with a much lower subscriber count could theoretically earn more revenue than the channel with a higher subscriber count if the smaller channel’s videos get more views.

Since I haven’t uploaded any new videos in the last year, I haven’t benefited from the additional views that would come from having new content pushed to my new subscribers right after I upload.
Once I start uploading new videos again, I should see an increase in my revenue, assuming the new videos are relevant to my current subscriber’s interests.

Your Niche Matters

I’ve watched dozens, if not hundreds of videos of YouTubers sharing how much money they earn from their channels.

One of the things that I’ve noticed is that their “niche” or the specific topics they cover in their videos matter a lot when making money on YouTube.

YouTubers make money when people watch ads before, during, or after their videos. Advertisers are allowed to choose which videos they want to show their ads on.

However, the YouTube advertising platform is an auction-based system. Therefore, if many advertisers want to show their ads on your videos, you will likely earn more per view.

For example, right now, a lot of advertisers are using YouTube ads to sell educational programs. If you created a video on “how to buy stocks for beginners,” people who have created investing programs will potentially compete to show their ads on your video.

That’s why some YouTubers have a much higher “CPM” or “cost per thousand” views than others.
According to Media Shark, the average CPM on YouTube is between $6 and $8. However, since my channel is focused on education and “how-to” type content, my current CPM is around $90 per thousand views.

The “RPM” is the amount per thousand views that I keep after YouTube takes its cut. Based on this, I’m earning close to $.05 per video view — which is much higher than the average because there’s more competition for the ads in my niche.

So, while there’s nothing wrong with creating a vlog channel that documents your life or creating random videos for the sake of being creative, focusing on a specific niche that commands a higher price per click from advertisers will make it easier to earn more from fewer views and a smaller subscriber count.

If you want to understand which niches are the most profitable on YouTube, pay attention to the ads you see before or during the videos you watch.

If you are seeing multiple ads selling similar products or trying to get in front of a specific audience, there’s a good chance that you could earn money by creating a video that caters to the audience that the advertisers are trying to reach.

Learn YouTube SEO

Once you have chosen a profitable niche, the next thing that you’ll want to focus on is YouTube SEO.
There are several ways that viewers who are not currently subscribers find your videos on YouTube.
YouTube Search — This is where a user types a specific keyword or query into the search box on YouTube, or
Suggesting Videos — This is where YouTube recommends your video to people who are watching a similar video.

Both of these are significant ways that small YouTuber’s can get more views on their videos.
The catch is that you have to create titles for your videos that are “SEO friendly” so that YouTube will know when your video is relevant to a specific topic that a viewer is searching for.

One of the exercises that I did for all of my videos was to type my topic into the YouTube search bar. As you type, YouTube will show you a dropdown with suggestions.
These are all phrases that people are searching for on YouTube.

If you create a video with one of these keyword phrases in the title, you will have much better luck getting found by people searching for these topics, which can lead to getting more views on your videos and earning more revenue.

Another exercise that I did with my videos was to find similar videos that have the most views to try to get my video recommended after it.

I did this by searching for a keyword phrase, then sorting by “view count.”

Then I paid close attention to the keywords used in the title of the most viewed videos and made sure to include them (or similar phrases) in mine.

Currently, 43% of my views come from YouTube, suggesting my video after watching a similar video. 20% of my views come from viewers who searched for my video's topic in YouTube’s search bar.

Quality Over Quantity

I have always believed in quality over quantity when it comes to anything. Some YouTuber’s believe that you have to upload every day to keep the YouTube algorithm happy.

But it’s tough for most people to keep up that pace and create high-quality content.
I admit that I’d be much farther along in my YouTube journey if I posted each week or every few days consistently, but YouTube hasn’t punished me for not uploading consistently.
What they have done is rewarded me month after month with a consistent paycheck for creating a handful of videos that I invested time and effort into.

Video “watch time” is critical on YouTube. If you create videos that have enough educational or entertainment value to keep viewers’ attention, YouTube will promote your content.

Takeaways

If you create high-quality content that also happens to be in a competitive niche and optimized for YouTube SEO, you can earn a very respectable monthly income, even with a small number of subscribers.

How much you can earn with 100K monthly views on your YouTube Channel

I will share with exact numbers from my channel that has today over 24K subscribers (not that much😏) and has over 150K views every month. here is my dashboard today (26–7–2020)

How much money does YouTube pay for 1000 views?

to make things simple, let's understand firstly how youtube calculate your monthly revenue, or how it calculates how much you earn per view on a certain video.

The idea is simple, you earn for each Ad (Impression or Click) and not on video views.

so if you have 1M views on YouTube, but no Ads are present on the video, you simply earn nothing!

of course, we are talking here about earning from Ads (Google Adsense) and not other methods that I will mention later in this post.

So now we know that you get paid on Ad view or clicks, but how much you earn per Ad view or click?

I will show you now two dashboards of two YouTube Channels, Take a look:

Channel 1:

Channel 2:

Take a look at the RPM and the CPM! 😲

the first channel generates more than 12X revenue compared to the second, why!?

Note:

CPM: How much advertisers paid per thousand monetized playbacks.
RPM: How much you earned per thousand monetized playbacks.
There are three factors that determine your CPM (Cost per 1000 Views) or revenue on YouTube:

How Much Views you are getting, and to be more accurate, how many times ads are shown on your videos and how many times are clicked.
Your Target Audience: The CPM in Top English Countries is almost 10x of that of other countries. as an example, I have two channels: one has CPM around 22$, and the other one about 1–5$.
Ads and Targeted Keywords: Not all ads have the same price. you can use tools like h-supertools to determine the CPC of keywords and optimize your videos on to increase your CPM.
For example, Ads related to Digital Marketing and Online Business has a Higher CPM than others.

Let’s see this:

If you go now to H-supertools free keyword research tool and search for this keyword: "learning cooking", you will see the following results:

The CPC (cost per click is 1.35$)

While if you search for "Email Marketing companies", you will see the following:

The CPC (cost per click is 18.55$) which is much more than the first keyword.

so the content you are creating videos about is very important and it determines what type of Ads will be shown on your videos.

So there is no direct answer to this, you need to identify these factors, then you can answer.

If you like to see this in action, you can check my video here and see how practically increase my CPM:

You can check and analyze the type of content, length, tags, description, title, and so on.

going back to my channel, you can see in the dashboard that I do make around 10$ per 1000 Views.

so with a simple calculation, it's around 1000$ per 100K views on my channel.

and here is my dashboard:

~1400$ for 160K views, so our calculations are correct!

Hope this helps you increase your Ad revenue from Your Channels.

Bonus: Other methods to make money from YouTube:

Affiliate Marketing: You can drive traffic to your affiliate links and earn money from an affiliate network.

Super Chat: This is a feature on YouTube. you can enable when you go live and people can pay you in the chatbox.

Merchandise: Also this is a feature on Youtube that allows you to sell T-shirts or stuff like in Teespring.

Memberships: On YouTube, you can enable memberships and people can join with a monthly fee.

Sponsoring other companies: you can sponsor and create custom ads and review for specific products and earn money directly from advertisers.

Getting Traffic: as I mentioned before, YouTube is a great place to drive traffic to your website or your premium services.

Do you know that:

40% of my sales come from YouTube.
30% of my web traffic comes from YouTube.
60% of my Email List is from YouTube.
65% of my Audience is from YouTube.
Yes, YouTube is Really so powerful when it comes to growing Online.

Starting a YouTube channel and posting videos related to your niche will allow you to:

BE KNOWN (Brand awareness)
Get More Traffic.
Drive more sales.
Build Authority
Promote anything you want to your audience.
Keep in mind the following when you start on YouTube:

Video Optimization: You have to take care of your videos after you upload by optimizing it, take care of your Thumbnail, Title, Description, Tags, Video length, script...

Quality Content: Quality is always better than quantity, especially today. so always ensure to give the real value of highly engaging videos on your Channel.

Consistency: YouTube Love consistency, always ensure to put a schedule for your channel and publish videos on a regular basis.

Patience: Your Channel will not Grow in 1 month (even though it's not impossible), but keep in mind that you may not see results before 6-12 months of hard work.

How do I rank a YouTube video in a month?

Rank a video on YouTube, you have to do the following:

Find the correct keyword to rank with (High Search Volume + Low Competition)
Optimize your video using the correct keyword.
Example from my channel:

If you open YouTube now, and search for “amazon ses”, you will find a couple of my videos on Top of YouTube Search Results.

So How I did this?

The first step, is doing keyword research for YouTube, I do use H-supertools Free YouTube Keyword research tool to find keyword ideas.

so open the tool, and enter the topic or keyword that you wanna create a video about or your published video.

in my case, I searched for “amazon ses” and here are the results:

So you can see around 22K searches per month on YouTube, and the Difficulty is Low, so I can rank somehow easily on this keyword.

and on the same page of H-supertools, you will find Related Keywords, you can use as tags and mentioned in the video description.

so I set the Video Title as:

How to Use Amazon SES as your SMTP Service? | Send Bulk Emails For Cheap | AWS SES Tutorial

the bold terms are keywords iam trying to rank on with this video. but the main keyword is “amazon ses”

Then in the video description:

In this video, I will show you how to configure Amazon Simple Email Service ( SES) and use it as your own SMTP Server for your Email Marketing campaigns.

Why Amazon SES? Maybe the main reason for selecting Amazon SES as your SMTP Service is the cheap costs. Do you believe that you can send a 100K email for 10$ !?

You see the keywords in the description.

Then the Tags as follows:

You can see the keywords I got from H-supertools suggested keywords. and I am ranking number one on almost all keywords. I am using vidiq here to check the keyword ranks.

This is how you optimize your Video on a certain keyword to rank on YouTube top results, and by the way this may be accomplished in 1 hour and not by 1 month.

I do the same operation for around 30 keywords to rank on top of YouTube, some examples:

IIS
IIS web server
build SMTP
SMTP server
Create SMTP
URL Rotation
….. and so on.

Other important points:

also what helps you rank your video other than meta data (title, description and tags)

is the video length and quality. if people loves your content and stay more on YouTube watching your video, YouTube will rank it higher.

so publish High quality valuable videos and optimize your Thumbnail and title for higher CTR (click through rate).

Making Money Online Through Social Media Traffic

Making money online has always been thought to be the best gold mine for work-at-home individuals. All they have to do is set up a website and write some fancy stuff and then wait for whatever ads Google serves to earn an income. It sounds easy but in truth, getting traffic to your website is a lot harder than you think. Unless you are an authority blog that people constantly visit for updates like Mashable or TechCrunch.

In order for you to gain traction and be able to compete among your niche, you have to immerse yourself with the trend, the so-called “social media marketing.” Why, so that you can make new friends? That too. But what you are primarily aiming for is not friends but visibility and traffic.

Making Money through Social Media Traffic

Here are 5 ways to get social media traffic and earn money online.

#1 Join Social Networks

It’s basically common sense but in case you missed out on this obvious fact, let me remind you to join social networks. Not only Facebook or Twitter, you can also create accounts on Tumblr or Pinterest and just about any online networks where in you can funnel your social contacts to your website or blog.

#2 Familiarized Features

When you join social networks, you have to be committed to knowing them. Just because you have too many networks does not mean you have to be casual about it and do on Facebook what you are doing on Twitter. To make it easy for you, learn the features that can best serve your purpose, which in this case is traffic and ad clicks.

#3 Get Fans and Followers

Like web traffic, getting Twitter followers or Facebook fans is not easy when you don’t know certain strategies in attracting the right people. You might say, I am mistaken since people on Twitter have an average of 300 to 1000 followers. The question is, are they targeted? Will they click on your ads or buy the products you are promoting?

#4 Create Focused Content

How can you prove that you have something of value to your social connections? You create focused contents for your blog. Write about topics that are relevant to ads having the most daily or monthly clicks, so as not to appear off to your readers.

Anyway, Google often matches displayed ads to the content of your blog, so there is no problem on that department. Most importantly, think about what people will love to read on your blog, no doubt, they’ll check out those posts.

#5 Utilize SEO

Believe it or not, SEO (search engine optimization), social media and paid ads are inseparable in your campaign. How come? Social networks such as Twitter and Facebook use keywords to aggregate content of the same niche and category, which is pretty much what you need in order to be found. When your content has relevant and targeted keywords, it would make your post searchable on social networks as well as on search engines.

Social media now has the upper hand when people refer to strategies on internet marketing. Some would even claim that it has replaced SEO and PPC. But in my opinion, the three should stick together to make the most returns. Why settle for one source of traffic when you can have three at your disposal?

How to Mathematically (and Practically) Get 4000 Hours of Watch Time on YouTube This Year As A Small Creator

YouTube just announced new Monetization Guidelines and many small creators on the platform are worried, upset, or incredibly pissed that they now have to fulfill these requirements:

YouTube requires your channel to have 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours of watchtime with the past 12 months to have monetization.

Now, I’m also a small creator and the above image was screencapped from an email directly from YouTube about one of my two channels. However, unlike a lot of small creators, I’m perfectly okay with this change.
Today I’m not gonna talk about the logistics of why this change is good or the emotional responses that anybody has about these changes. Instead, we’re gonna talk about the mathematical way that small creators can reach 4,000 watch time hours in the next year.
I went back to the routes of my Algebra days and came up with the following word problem:

If Watch Time has to be 4,000 hours in 1 Year:
-What’s the minimum amount of videos you need to make this year?
- How many views does each video need to get?
- AND how long should the video be?

I’m not gonna tackle the subscriber issue, because I think if you follow the quest in getting 4,000 hours of watchtime, the subscriber count will go with it.

Also, there are a ton of variables that come into play here, so we’re going to assume a couple of things for the sake of this exercise:

  1. Each video you make, gets the minimum amount of views needed AND was watched all the way through by each of these views. We’ll call these views “pure views” because this assumes that they were watched in their entirety.
  2. Since videos stay around forever, older videos can increase in views randomly and consistently throughout the year, so since this math would be extremely complicated, we’re not talking about that.

So, here are the things that we know:

  • We know that 4,000 hours of Watch Time is equal to 240,000 minutes.
  • We also know that YouTube prefers 10 minute long videos. So 10 minutes will be the baseline for part of our discussion.

Let’s Begin!

To reach the 240,000 minutes of Watch Time needed, you could make:

  • 240,000 videos at 10 minutes long, with each getting 1 view. This is impossible.
  • 2,400 videos at 10 minutes long, with each getting 10 views. This is also pretty unreasonable.
  • 240 videos at 10 minutes long, with each getting 100 views.

Now we’re talking.

Though 100 views would be hard to get on every video, UNLESS, every video you make is a quality video, the thumbnail is very clickable and extremely search friendly, this won’t be as hard.

Basically, if you ride on trends the entire year and create a bunch of How-To videos, along with niche content and the content that you want to make — we’re looking at an extremely possible situation.

240 videos at 10 minutes long, each getting 100 views, means that each video needs to have a total of 1,000 Watch Time minutes (which is equal to about 16.5 hours).

*Extra Tip* Take a look at your video library. If you have a video that has already received 1,000 Watch Time minutes in the span of a year, find out what made it work so well and try to replicate it success.

We also know that 240 videos a year, gives us an additional 125 days in the year where a video is not being uploaded. This means 1 video every 1.5 days OR roughly 5 videos a week. Only 10 minutes a piece and you’ve got a nice weekend off.

But 100 views is still a lot for a small channel to maintain, including myself, so you spend 5 days a week recording, editing, uploading and then the other 2 days are left from promoting your videos in the right Facebook Groups, SubReddits, Twitter, etc.

But, for arguments sake (and because I still have plenty of more math for you), let’s say 100 views still seems like a lot.

Well, what if we made 365 videos this year, instead of 240. That means, one video a day.

Most people will even tell you that you should have daily content anyways.

So 365 videos a year, at 10 minutes long, means that you only need to get about 66 views on every video you upload.

Getting 66 views is much better than getting 100 views.

But what if I show you something crazier?

If you increase each video by 1 minute extra, then you have 365 videos, each at 11 minutes long. Now you only have to get 60 views, instead of the initial 100 views.

But let’s get even crazier.

Here is a chart that shows you how many views you have to get on each video, if you make 365 videos this year, based on the length of the video:

The longer your video is, the less views you’ll need to get the required 4,000 hours of Watch Time.

What you’ll notice here, is that if you create the kind of content that is shorter, anywhere from 1–5 minutes long, you’ll have to get a lot better at promoting your content, so that you can get more views on them and be able to reach the Watch Time required.

Keep in mind though, that these view numbers are still nothing crazy, as we don’t have a single video that would require you to go above 700 views.

Once we get into the 20 minute range of content, which tons of channels already create videos this length, you start to only have to get around 30 views or less per video.

And once you get towards the half-hour length or longer, those pure views could be in the single digits.

Meaning that podcasts and live streams only have to be viewed by a few people.

But maybe you want to focus more on the quality of your videos and not put out as many videos. Well then, the less videos you make, the more you need to advertise them to ensure that you get more views.

So here’s another chart, showing you the amount of 10 minute videos you need to put out throughout the year and the amount of views required to make that watch time:

The less videos you put out, the more views you need to have to reach the required 4,000 hours of Watch Time.

This assumes that every video you put out is only 10 minutes long, as that’s the baseline, but we’ll see that the more videos you put out, the less views you need to get on each video.

Obviously the top part of the chart is practically impossible, so the first realistic goal here (depending on the kind of content you make) is 686 videos this year. This is close to uploading 2 videos a day, every day, and receiving 35 views on each video.

The next main one is 365 videos, which was covered above. But then right under that is 240 videos, again only requiring you to have 100 views.

The less videos you put out, the more views you need to have to reach the required Watch Time.

Technically you could put out 1 video, every 2 weeks and end up with 24 videos by the end of the year. If you can get each of these videos up to 1000 views a piece, then you’ll be able to make the required amount of Watch Time.

Additionally, if these videos are longer than 10 minute long, you could easily make less videos, depending on how much you want to advertise your videos.

Again, remember that these are “pure views” meaning that every one of these views has to have seen the entire video for it to count.

At the end of the day though, here are the things you need to consider:

  • What types of videos can I make that are extremely sharable OR would be watched if you shared them in the right place?
  • Find things that people haven’t covered yet. Do something unique. Yes, it’s easier said than done and I’m learning this myself, but every time I’ve ever done an off-the-wall video, the views have been much higher.
  • Consider diversifying your content. If you’re a Let’s Player, do Live Streams and other types of Gaming Content. If you’re an animator, Live Stream your animating sessions, and do behind-the-scenes videos. If you’re a musician, do covers, record raw sessions of your music, and Live Stream gigs or performances.
  • In fact, LIVE STREAM. This past year on my gaming channel, I had 1,566 hours of Watch Time. The Top 10 most watched videos only made up 24% of my entire watch time AND 8/10 of those were Live Streams. Live Streams will get you more watch time.
  • Consider doing a weekly podcast in your niche. On my Main Channel, 91% of my watch time in the past 5 months came from my Top 10 most watched videos. 5/10 of those were podcasts. Chances are you know something about your niche and can provide some kind of value there.
  • Above all else, make good content. Too many people focus on the numbers and don’t realize that maybe they still need to work on learning how to make good videos. I was there once and I still have plenty of room to grow. I’m sure you do too.

Now we have to go back to the word problem:

If Watch Time has to be 4,000 hours in 1 Year:
- What’s the minimum amount of videos you need to make this year?
- How many views does each video need to get?
- AND how long should the video be?

A good start, in my opinion, is to try to make 300 videos this year at 10 minutes a piece. Don’t flesh out the videos if they don’t need to be 10 minutes long and if the videos go over 10 minutes, that’s fine too.

Try to incorporate live streams in the mix and maybe start a podcast.

This will put you at about 6 videos a week, meaning that you’ll only need to get 80 pure views on each video. If you target them to the right audience and share them in the right places, that’s completely doable.

Create a content strategy around this, execute it for a month, and then figure out if creating this many videos is too difficult for you OR if you can create daily content.

Experiment with it, but most of all, execute it!

As a small creator, I can tell you as much as I need to, that I believe in you, but at the end of the day —
You have to believe in yourself.

Take this knowledge and put it to practice and create some awesome videos and you’ll reach that threshold in no time. I know I will.

How can I get more views on my YouTube videos?

Focus on the quality of the content

For getting more views on YouTube, you must focus on the content of the video first. It doesn’t matter how much perfect your SEO and social media marketing strategies you have applied if your content will not be attractive and catchy, there are comparatively fewer chances to attract audience towards your YouTube channel, and hence, the number of views may not exceed to the level you want.

Focus on Creating Trending Videos

Every now and then a new trend is out in the market. It is important that you follow the trend as it already has a huge viewership base. However, if you completely follow the trend without being unique, that too will now work in your favor. So while you should stick to what is trending, make sure you stand out and think something out of the box to get more views.

Make a Good Thumbnail

The YouTube thumbnail is what drives the most attention and gets the most clicks. Don’t use clickbait because people will just leave your video and that damages audience retention. By creating these thumbnails, you’re going to improve your clickthrough rate drastically. Improving your click through rate is great because it means for each impression your video gets, you’ll get more views.

Make End Screens for Your Videos

Using end screens at the end of your video is a good way of boosting your views for free. Basically, what you need to do is provide viewers with more information about your channel, as well as inviting them to check out your other videos.

Promote Your Videos on Social Media

Social media has been one of the main focuses of online marketers. Another advantage of cross-platform promotion is that it doesn’t have to cost much. Actually, you can do it for free! It’s true that each social media website offers paid advertising, but if you have enough followers on those sites, you can be sure your YouTube video will get enough attention.

SEO your video

SEO is not just limited for Google, but you need to do SEO for the video by incorporating keywords in the video title and description. Make sure that they are search engine optimized. Keep your description detailed and include the links to your social media accounts.

Contact Influencers in Your Niche

Influencer marketing is a strategic and effective way to grow views on YouTube. With over 3.8 billion social media users, social media influencers are trending these days. They can make any to every product/service viral just by giving a shoutout, share, or recommending it to their audience.

Use YouTube cards to increase YouTube views

YouTube cards can help you keep links to your other videos and hence improving chances of people watching your other videos. Once you select the card make sure you display the card at the right time to prompt users to click the link. It is best to give a reference to the other video in the video and let the card come up at the same time to prompt the user to click on it.

Paid Marketing

Even after following all the above-mentioned marketing tips, if you’re still getting no significant results, that probably means you either have high competition or your niche isn’t much popular yet. This is where paid marketing comes in handy. Videos with most views are most likely to appear higher in YouTube SERP. Moreover, people don’t feel like clicking on videos with little to no views – even if they’re better than ones with thousands of views. To get you started, we suggest going for paid yet real YouTube views.

I'm sure you've seen by now that some of the most creative people in the world show their talents on you two and a lot of them have found success through creative breakout idea it's not easy to come up with the it a video series but there are certain things you to stop creators due to get tons of fans what i'm going to talk about today comes from over a year of studying successful creators and talking to them about what they do the results of all this research the ted fundamentals is a framework that can help you in the development of your own video ideas whether it's a new idea for your channel or an existing series you've been uploading and the idea through these tend to see how you might improve it didn't notice i keep using the words series well one on the videos are great but would do you think happens after everyone seen it you're views tend to look like this one huge spike and then back to normal that's why to have a long term success with your channel it's important to come up with ideas that are repeatable and wouldn't want to do that is in the form of a shell sheller series which i use interchangeably

So let's jump in just keep in mind one thing this is not meant to be it's checklist or scorecard none of these are it's a little necessary but each can help grow that loyal fan base that comes back again and
and all right are you ready bring an idea into the forefront of your mind and let's start at the beginning and a number one share ability will viewers share your videos word of mouth is powerful because people are learning about you from the people they trust the most their friends and family

I think the key thing is to actually make videos that people want to share with the and something as simple as that that you make a video that somebody watches and that's the end of it well that's going to get x number of there's a bit like overall hall on a second some so like this and they start to send it around you build a people so i think a years that people want to share now it's easy to say yes they're going to share my videos because they'll be awesome but it's really predict if you're viewers will share ask yourself while they relate to it is it about a topic or trend that people are currently talking about we'll make viewers laughter move them to tears is it really useful somehow it could be consider all of these questions also try this take a look at the last thing you shared on social media what wasn't and why did you share it i love to share videos that i think are frankly amazing things that you haven't seen before something new something fresh and something exciting something that you're going to want to share after i do my threatened link or to very successful creators on and when they're brainstorming ideas for a really shared global video they put each idea through a pretty tough test they asked themselves can we summer here's what this video was all about in one in its that is easily understood and also compelling in a way that people will want to share the video the point is if you can't summarize it and one sentence then it's going to take someone longer to explain it when they're trying to share it you want to create a video that from a concept standpoint

It is easy to share so before they've even a written a script they try to get into the heads of yours and figure about why they might share it what will your audience right when they share your video take a two minutes to brainstorm and write those share statements down because if you can make your videos shareable it can really help grow you riots fundamental number two conversation or use speaking directly to your audience you to is an incredibly social platform there's a huge community here and fewer just often see their favorite stars as and inside the computer if you can turn to the camera and talk directly to the audience the way i am now it can be a powerful way it's a bond with fans and build oil to see where bonding right now but it's not about talking to the lens like any host or a reporter it's about looking specifically to your viewers and maybe sometimes calling a few of them but by name even scripted narrative content can be conversational just look at some of the biggest scripted successes on Youtube lonely girl fifteen the gill and they lizzie bennett diaries each of these evolve fictional characters who talked directly to the audience the friends knew they were actors reading lines but they still loved it are you of course you don't even have to do that

Getting likes on Tiktok

Tiktok is an app where it is very easy to get views and get likes. I myself post content in my spare time and I have thousands of views and hundreds of likes. Tiktok has 800 million users worldwide and it really isn't hard to start producing content which get likes. For some reason, I am unable to attach images, so I will leave descriptions instead.

1) Follow trends. Trends are things such as repetitive themes and songs. Within Tiktok, these are like using Google Translate and then throwing in a funny clip which rhymes with the last word. Tiktok content that follows trends are guaranteed to get more views from people searching for related videos and if you add a special twist on the end, this can make you all the more popular. The current trends on Tiktok are using the sound 'sHEsrEALLYgOOD - Joshua Batista', 'Banana feat Shaggy' and 'Kream Bebiisan Edition'. A good way to identify new trends are to follow people who are very popular on Tiktok such as Addison Rae who is known for her active, fun content.

2) Use hashtags (the more the better). Hashtags means that whatever content (likes or no likes) are equally as visible on a search. Some hashtags such as #fyp (2207.4B views), #foryourpage (300B views) and #tiktok (832,2B views) have billions of posts attached. This is a solid way to spread your audience and get yourself views, which turn into likes. Hashtags can also create a funny element to your videos with a smart catchphrase or idea which can cause people to identify with your content and share it more. Hashtags are key to views and likes. Tiktok's algorithm brings people together based upon their similar likes and preferences, so by putting more hashtags onto your videos, you can ensure your content gets spread to more audiences which will like and share your content.

3) Get your family involved. Tiktok is an app based around videos and content with parents/guardians in tend to do very well. Let's face it, seeing older, more serious people copy trends on Tiktok is funny because it is so out of character for them and this is recognised by your audience. The most famous Tiktokers in the world (the D'Amelio sisters) often use their families to great effect. Users like 'Mmmjoemele' (who has 4.8 million followers) catapulted to Tiktok fame due to his father sharing an uncanny resemblance with the food critic from Disney film Ratatouille. If your family has any famous look-a-likes, this is very popular on Tiktok.

4) Get people you know to share, like and comment 'fyp' under your posts. Within the Tiktok algorithm, it only takes a small amount of likes to spread your content to a much wider audience. This is because if Tiktok see people liking your content, they are going to assume other users will find it interesting and put it on their home feed. From there, your content will snowball and increase your likes and views. I have found this to be the case with my personal Tiktoks. After my friends liked my content, others began to like and comment. I interact with my viewers also to retain them as followers and make them feel more comfortable sharing my content.

5) Commenting something funny or supportive on somebody else's video. This sounds simple, but a lot of users check out the comments on Tiktoks and this can help your content be more discoverable. Comments can gather loads of likes which can help make your profile more popular, which in turn gets you more likes. Its all about putting your account out there as much as possible, building yourself a profile. People spend hours at a time on Tiktok, mindlessly flicking through hundreds of accounts at a time. All it takes is them to see one comment and then go and check out your content.

6) Dueting other Tiktokers. Sometimes, even just sitting there reacting to other peoples content can get yourself a lot of views and likes. Famous Tiktokers get this a lot. Sometimes the 'Duet' function isn't available however as you can edit whether it is available when you post. To find the 'Duet' button, you press 'Share' (below comment on a Tiktok) and then in white it says 'Duet' near the bottom.
